New Delhi: India and Uzbekistan signed multiple Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) on Monday. The MoU were signed in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 17 MoUs were signed between both the countries. The signed MoUs include agreement between visa free travel for diplomatic passport holders, programme of cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan and India and the third agreement was on cooperation in the field of tourism.
Cooperation in the field of military and education, cooperation in the field of law and justice, agreement in the field of agriculture, agreement of cooperation in scientific, technical and innovation fields, agreement of cooperation in the field of health and medical science, agreement of cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, etc were also signed.
This was Mirziyoyev’s first visit to India since assuming office in 2016.
