Florida: At least four people were killed in a mass shooting that took place in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

According to a law enforcement official, preliminary reports suggest that four people were killed out of the 11 people who were shot at in Jacksonville Landing.

Sheriff Mike Williams noted that the lone suspect, identified as a white male, was found dead at the scene.

The incident, which caused multiple fatalities, occurred in the Jacksonville Landing area, located along St. Johns River, which has a wide variety of dining options, bars, and a shopping mall.

Gunshots were reported on social media by a number of people during the Madden NFL (American football video game) Championship Series.

In the wake of the incident, United States President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, extended her support to those affected by the "tragic" mass shooting.

" As we await further details, our hearts are with Jacksonville and all those affected by today's tragic mass shooting," she tweeted.
