Asian Games: 16-yr-old Saurabh Chaudhary wins gold in 10m air pistol

The 16-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary shot a total of 240.7 to claim the top honours at the JSC - Shooting Range. Saurabh Chaudhary's show was also an Asian Games record in 10m air pistol event.

Jakarta: Saurabh Chaudhary, who is just 16, clinched gold in men's 10m air pistol shooting at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta on Tuesday. Fellow shooter Abhishek Verma bagged bronze in the same category.
   
The 16-year-old Saurabh Chaudhary shot a total of 240.7 to claim the top honours at the JSC - Shooting Range. Saurabh Chaudhary's show was also an Asian Games record in 10m air pistol event.

Abhishek Verma shot a total of 219.3 to settle with a bronze. Tomoyuki Matsuda of Japan secured the silver with 239.7.

The Indian shooter secured had secured the top spot in the qualification.

Congratulating his win, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has announced Rs 50 lakh award for Saurabh Chaudhary.
