Durg (Chhattisgarh): Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari while addressing crowd in Chhattisgarh on Monday, announced release of funds for road projects.
Gadkari also ensured that Rs 40,000 crore will be provided to the state for various development projects.
Addressing the gathering, Gadkari said, "I want to ensure that our department would provide Rs 40,000 crore for Chhattisgarh. CM Raman Singh has given me the list of 17 cities which need to have bypass. So, I announce Rs 157 crore for bypass and one time improvement of the roads in these 17 cities. I also announce provision of Rs 458 crore for five additional roads."
The Union Minister was in Chhattisgarh's Durg to lay foundation stones of various projects along with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh.
