Budhni (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan exhibited confidence in the voters, saying that his party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will come back to power. “We’re 100% certain that BJP will form government with an absolute majority. We have set a target of 200 seats and our lakhs of volunteers are working to make it a reality,” said CM Chouhan. He assured people of development schemes in the state as part of his agenda.
Further speaking on Congress’ personal attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Chouhan said, “This has never happened in the history of governance. Back when Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister, I was in United States. A reporter there asked me if he was an underachieving PM. I clearly told them he is not and that hes the pride of the nation.”
Voting commenced in the state at 8 am for 230 Assembly seats. After rigorous campaigning by parties, the litmus test will show its results on counting day on December 11.
