Tremors felt in Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir after earthquake hits Afghanistan

Tremors were felt in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday afternoon after an earthquake hit Afghanistan's capital Kabul, reports said.

New Delhi: Tremors were felt in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday afternoon after an earthquake hit Afghanistan's capital Kabul, reports said.

Tremors were also felt in parts of northern India, including Jammu and Kashmir, reported news agency ANI. 

Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 hit Afghanistan-Tajikistan-Pakistan region on Wednesday, said United States Geological Survey or USGS. It said the earthquake struck near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, at a depth of 111.9 kilometres.
