Chennai: MK Stalin, son of late DMK chief M Karunanidhi has written a moving poem for his father.
Paying his tribute for one last time, Stalin, in a hand-written poem, wrote the poem and said, "Most of the time I used to call you as Thalaivare (Leader) in my life. So, Can I call you now as Appa (father) for once Thalaivare?"
‘My dear leader you always leave after informing me. Why you didn't inform me this time?,’ Stalin wrote.
Stalin was picked as his political heir back in 2013 after Karunanidhi's older son, MK Alagiri, was expelled in March 2014 from the DMK for working against Stalin.
M Karunanidhi, one of India’s tallest leaders, died at the age of 94 in Chennai on Tuesday. The DMK patriarch breathed his last at 6:10 pm at Kauvery Hospital.
