Reacting to the remarks made by Jammu-based defence lawyer Ankur Sharma, who allegedy questioned her intelligence because she was a woman, Kathua rape defence lawyer said that it was an unfortunate comment.
She said, “It hurts when you are targeted and your intelligence is doubted just because you are a woman. What should I comment on such a chauvinist remark, the whole nation is there to comment on it.”
A member of the SIT Kathua rape case also said that Special Investigation Team (SIT) faced lots of difficulties in collecting evidence.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shwetambari Sharma said, “The SIT faced lots of difficulties in the course of collecting evidence in the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl.”
