Mumbai: Giving clarification on his earlier statement on Rafale deal, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Monday said that it is the responsibility of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring people into confidence. Speaking on the issue, Raut said, “The matter of Bofors had a cost of Rs 100 crore whereas the case of Rafale has come around Rs 700-100 crore.
So if we see in this sense, Bofors is the father of Rafale. This is a matter of India’s security and so people are asking questions. It is, hence, the responsibility of Narendra Modi to bring people into confidence.
Sanjay Raut had earlier called the Rafale deal as the ‘father of Bofors’.
