At least 22 people have died and more than 100 have been injured in the dust storm in Rajasthan. Bharatpur, Alwar, Dholpur and Jhunjhunu districts were the worst-hit. According to reports, several electricity poles and trees uprooted.

Gusty winds toppled and fell trees at many places, blocking portions of roads that resulted in traffic jams in several areas.

Earlier in the week, the Met Department said that dust storm and thundershower activities will also be expected over Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh.
