New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. Both the leaders held delegation level talks. The talks were attended by Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu and other dignitaries.
Putin arrived in India on Thursday and was received by Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Putin is on a two-day visit to India to attend the 19th India-Russia bilateral annual summit, which is scheduled to start on October 5.
The signing of a deal for Russia S-400 Triumf air defence system is the key feature of the visit.
