No recommendation by education policy panel to make Hindi compulsory, says Prakash Javadekar

Under New Education Policy draft, there is no such provision of making any language mandatory, said Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi: Rubbishing the rumours of making Hindi language compulsory upto class 8th, Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that under New Education Policy draft, there is no such provision of making any language mandatory. 

He said that the draft would be officially submitted, and till then he requested the mediapersons not to spread any such rumours. “There is no such recommendation”, said Javadekar in reference to the rumour being spread.
