New Delhi: Expressing its anger on the Muzaffarpur shelter home investigation, the Supreme Court today rapped the Bihar government.

"Girls are raped left, right and centre. Every six hours a girl raped in the country," an infuriated Supreme Court said citing data from the National Crime Records Bureau.

The Apex Court expressed dismay over the Nitish Kumar government's failure to inspect what was going on at the shelter home which  was being run on government money by an NGO.

"Money are given to these NGOs managing shelter homes since 2013 but the Bihar government didn't inspect them and asked who is giving money to the shelter home in the state?" the Supreme Court observed.

Supreme Court also instructed Bihar government to arrest the wife of one of the accused in the  Muzaffarpur shelter home case for allegedly disclosing the names of certain minor victims by posting their identities and names on her Facebook account.
