New Delhi: In a statement that can add further fuel to the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmbhumi controversy, spiritual guru and Art of Living (AOL) founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has said in an interview to a private news channel that only Ram temple should be constructed at the disputed site in Ayodhya.

He also said that the Muslims should give up their claim on the disputed site in Ayodhya and gift the land to Hindus for the construction of Ram temple.

He said that Muslims never offer prayers on disputed land and that Ayodhya is not even a religious place for them and said Ram temple is a matter of faith for 100 crore Hindus in India.

“But it’ll be a loss of face for Muslims. That’s why I’m trying for finding an amicable solution to the dispute,” Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said.
