New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the nation from the ramparts of Red Fort on the occasion of India's 72nd Independence Day.
Before delivering his speech, PM Modi paid homage to Mahatma gandhi at Rajghat and then unfurled the national flag, which was followed by the national anthem.
"We are celebrating the 72nd Independence Day in a positive atmosphere. Our daughters have crossed seven seas and coloured the seas in the colours of our flag," PM Modi said.
