New Delhi: Former Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee's health has deteriorated and he has been put on ventilator support in a critical condition, reports said on Sunday.
On August 10, the 89-year-old was re-admitted to a hospital in Kolkata following kidney ailments. He had suffered a haemorrhagic stroke in June following which his health condition declined.
Chatterjee was earlier admitted to a hospital after he complaint of breathlessness. Few days later, he was discharged as improvements were seen in his health.
