Ranchi: RJD chief and former Bihar chief Minister Lalu Yadav today surrendered in Ranchi court after a request for three-month parole extension was turned down.
The court after his surrendering directed the fodder scam accused to be taken to Birsa Munda jail. According to reports, he may be taken to the hospital from there.
The Jharkhand high court had earlier on August 24 rejected Lalu's bail extension-plea and asked the RJD chief surrender by August 30.
Lalu has been held guilty in the fodder scam and was imprisoned following a court order. However, due to poor health, he was allowed to take treatment at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai.
