New Delhi: Union Minister for Human resource development Prakash Javadekar said that everywhere in society women should be treated as equals and not only in workplace. Commenting on MJ Akbar’s resignation, Javadekar said,
“We have always maintained that not only at work place but everywhere in the society women should be seen as equals, should be treated with equality. That is what we always say, there is nothing else to comment.”
MJ Akbar had resigned from his post of Minister of State for External Affairs after he was alleged of sexual harassment by a woman journalist.
