CBSE paper leak: Delhi Police arrests 2 teachers, tutor; whistleblower identified

The Delhi Police have arrested three persons - two teachers and a tutor who is also owner of a coaching centre in outer Delhi's Bawana - for their alleged involvement in the CBSE Class 12 Economics paper leak case.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have arrested three persons - two teachers and a tutor who is also owner of a coaching centre in outer Delhi's Bawana - for their alleged involvement in the CBSE Class 12 Economics paper leak case.

The police have also identified the whistleblower who had warned the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) that the Class 10 Maths test paper had leaked. He is a Class 10 student, who had given a tip-off to the CBSE before the exam.

His email ID was traced after the police appraoched Google. The student's identity has not been revealed.

The student had sent an email to CBSE chairperson Anita Karwal at 1:30 AM on March 27 night before the exam which was held on March 28. He had informed her about the paper leak via the mail, which also had attatched 12 images of handwritten Maths paper, which was allegedly leaked on WhatsApp.

The two accused teachers of a private school in Delhi have been identified as Rishabh and Rohit, while the tutor as Tauqeer, TOI reported.
