Cases booked against those who stopped women from entering Sabarimala temple: Kerala IG

The two women who tried to enter the temple were part of a pilgrimage group from Andhra, says Kerala IG

Pamba (Kerala): Kerala Inspector General S Sreejith assured that police will perform its duty, adding that cases against those who have stopped women from entering Sabarimala temple have been booked.  He also said that the two women who tried to enter the temple were part of a pilgrimage group from Andhra and they refused to enter the temple after they were stopped. 

He said, “They were part of a pilgrimage group from Andhra. They had been to other temples also and didn't know of special rituals in Sabarimala temple. When somebody told them they are not supposed to go, they did not want to go and gave a statement. 

They want to go back to Nilakkal and we took them there.
