New Delhi: The Delhi police has questioned a 'self-styled godwoman' in connection with the Burari mass suicide. The 35-year-old woman had allegedly “confessed to pushing” the 11 members of the Bhatia family into committing suicide, showed a TV channel sting operation.
The woman, a mother of three, is the daughter of the contractor who was roped in by the Bhatia family for renovation of their home. The contractor had however dismissed the possibility of any thoughts behind fixing exactly 11 pipes protruding out of the Bhatia home.
However, the Police is yet to ascertain the role of 'Geeta Maa,' the tantrik.
According to recent reports, Delhi Crime Branch is now planning to conduct psychological autopsy of 11 members of a family who were found dead at a house in Burari.
The police is contemplating the 'mental disorder' angle of a joint family.
A source close to Delhi crime branch said, "As part of the investigation, today few more registers were found which dated back to 2011. The content in these register is similar to the one that was found earlier. Other family members, neighbours and children's friends have been questioned for more inputs."
This comes after it was revealed earlier that the police had found two registers which contain details of a 'Badh puja' ritual.
Ten of the 11 members of the family were found hanging from an iron-mesh in the ceiling on Sunday, while the body of 77-year-old Narayan Devi, the head of the family, was lying on the floor in another room of the house.
