BJP calls statewide bandh to protest against killing of 2 students in Islampur

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called a statewide shutdown in West Bengal to protest against the killing of two students in Islampur clash.

Cooch Behar/Howrah: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called a statewide shutdown in West Bengal to protest against the killing of two students in Islampur clash. Protestors vandalised government buses and burnt tyres in Midnapore. Drivers of government buses wore helmets in Cooch Behar after vandalising incidents. 

Police in large numbers are deployed to control the situation. Two students were allegedly killed in police firing in North Dinajpur's Islampur.
