New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) organised a three-day Art of Living workshop at the Delhi Headquarters from November 10, to “enhance positivity and motivate the staff to achieve their full potential”. Art of Living Foundation was started by the spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Over 150 officials, from the ranks of Inspector up to Incharge Director, attended the programme. This workshop came in the midst of internal fighting between top officials of the probe agency.
The purpose of conducting such a programme is “to build synergy, competency and positive outlook”, according to press statement of the CBI. CBI Director Alok Verma appeared before the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) KV Chowdary in connection with the investigation into the corruption charges leveled against him by his deputy and Special Director Rakesh Asthana.
The Supreme Court had on October 26 asked the CVC to examine corruption charges against Verma and submit its report in two weeks.
