Munger: A 3-year-old girl fell into a 110-feet borewell in Munger in Bihar on Tuesday afternoon. Efforts are on to rescue a three-year-old Sana.
State Disaster Response Force which is trying to bring Sana back has said that the child is safe. "Rescue operations underway for a 3-year-old girl who is stuck in a 110 feet borewell in Munger since yesterday afternoon. The SDRF team has dug up to 40 feet. The girl is safe, " DIG Jitendra Mishra, SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) said.
Sanna fell around 4 pm and could be heard crying by the rescuers, said an official.
"We've provided her oxygen & made all arrangements for her safety. We've placed rods to ensure that she doesn't fall further down. It might take another 4 hours to rescue her," Sanjeev Kumar, SDRF on 3-year-old girl stuck in 110 feet borewell in Munger since yesterday afternoon said.
According to reports, light facilities have also been arranged in the borewell to monitor the condition of the girl.
Many senior state officials including Mayor Ruma Raj, have visited the site since yesterday and provided all the support to rescue the girl. Sub-divisional officer Khagesh Chandra Jha, Assistant Superintendent of Police Harishankar Kumar, Block divisional officer Pankaj Kumar and a team of two police stations are at the site to assist in the rescue efforts.
