New Delhi: After 12 years at the helm of affairs, Indra Nooyi has decided to step down as CEO of PepsiCo Inc. Company veteran Ramon Laguarta is going to replace her.
"Indra K. Nooyi to end tenure as CEO after delivering more than a decade of strong performance, grounding company in Performance with Purpose philosophy, and positioning PepsiCo for continued success," said company statement.
Indra Nooyi took to Twitter to announce the decision. Her tweets read:
"Today is a day of mixed emotions for me. @PepsiCo has been my life for 24 years & part of my heart will always remain here. I'm proud of what we've done & excited for the future. I believe PepsiCo’s best days are yet to come,"
