IndiGo has grounded its three A320 neo planes after engine failure warning from European aviation safety regulator EASA, a senior official at aviation regulator DGCA said.
The grounded aircraft were equipped with Pratt & Whitney engines. According to the official, an emergency airworthiness directive was issued by the EASA for A320 neo planes with PW1100 engines having a particular serial number.
The official said that the directive came following incidence of engine’s in-flight shutdowns and rejected take-offs involving A320 neo family planes.
